Oracle Solutions Speak at HSE Annual Inspectors Meeting
Joint Managing Director – Jess Scott was recently invited to speak at the Northamptonshire Health & Safety Executive Annual Inspectors meeting.
The meeting took place on the 11th October 2011 and was held at their Northampton offices. The main focus of the meeting was for Oracle to provide feedback from within the asbestos industry and to help build closer relationships with the enforcing authority.
On the agenda for the meeting was the importance of UKATA asbestos awareness training and the problems faced with asbestos refurbishment surveys and demolition surveys. Jess also provided information on the pioneering joint venture between Northamptonshire County Council and Oracle Solutions. The joint venture has set a target to ensure that the 300 schools across Northamptonshire are fully asbestos compliant by September 2012.
Jess’ presentation was a huge success and he has been invited back again for their 2012 annual meeting.
Sam Russell from the HSE said
Jess Scott of Oracle Solutions attended our Northampton Health & Safety Executive office to give a talk to the local Inspectors on Asbestos Awareness training. We were made aware of the level of detailed information a UKATA accredited awareness training program included on the topics of asbestos, its different types, common locations to find it and the correct process to follow if asbestos is exposed. Awareness training such as this can make a real difference to actions undertaken everyday by contractors of all trades out on site. Our thanks go to Jess Scott for giving up his time and talking to us.
